JDNetworks approached Orange Crush to design and develop its new website. It was felt that the existing site had served its purpose and become a little dated. The site was incompatible with the innovative nature of the business.
Contemporary, clean, professional
The company needed a contemporary, clean, professional website to showcase its service and products and reflect the leading edge nature of the business.
We started by taking a look at the existing branding which made use of a slightly dated light techno-font and a colour palette of pink and greys. Keeping the pink and the logo icon, we tweaked the greys and introduced black to kick up the contrast. We also changed the font for a stronger, contemporary sans-serif option.
Having a strong pink as the highlight colour, we we able to make up the site palette with greys and white.
We made good use of whitespace and strong images to break a lot of written information into digestible portions. The typography creates headlines that aren’t too ‘shouty’ but draw the eye. The fonts used are pretty light, making them easy on the eye.
Branding and on-site Photography
We visited JDNetworks offices to capture portrait shots of the team. It was good to meet everyone and we had a lot of fun. Capturing the team portraits in one session ensured a consistency across the team profiles.
The site features its staff within the team section and across the services pages. This is a really close-knit team and this comes through, loud and clear.
Flexible CMS Development
The site is built using a WordPress which is our preferred and recommended CMS platform.
All parts of the website are easily manageable via the WordPress CMS. The back-end is versitile enough for simple page content entry or more complex layouts via a drag/drop editor.
